Synopsis

Eight thousand Palestinians are imprisoned in Israeli jails today. They are called Security Prisoners. For most Israelis they are assassins and criminals, for most Palestinians they are heroes and freedom fighters.

Hot House is a documentary-feature that explores the emergence of Palestinian national leadership in Israeli prisons in light of the elections to the Palestinian Parliament.

The film provides a unique opportunity to observe events of historic proportions at their nascent. It exposes the cycle of violence, the evolution of a conflict characterized by vast asymmetry in balance of power and the ethics of war.
