Chava Alberstein

Chava Alberstein, a singer, creator, writer, actress, and painter, with over 60 albums along the years, continues to perform to this day.

At 76 years old, she concludes a glorious career – a diary recounting and reminiscing her life story and career, which often relate and intertwine with Israel’s own history.

How much longer will she take the stage? she asks in her diary, while not having an exact answer, she knows that as long as the audience attends and embraces her – she will be there.

“I’ve touched so many people, I’m always shocked by that. I receive so many letters from people whose lives I’ve integrated into, who sing my songs at celebrations as well as at memorials and funerals.”
