Synopsis

A high production-value 10 episode documentary series portraying Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews, from the very formation of those communities in the Muslim landscape, up to the founding of Israel.

The discussion on the history of the Islamic-environment Jewish people is still in its early days, conducted over the past 100 years with increasing tension, national conflict, wars and acts of terrorism between Muslims and Jews. The challenge is the adaptation of the varied memories and works of all the many different Jewish Diasporas within the Islamic environment into a documentary version that is both approachable and understandable.

The series will span from Yemen to Syria, From Morocco to Uzbekistan and will highlight characters and stories from the past 1000 years.
